Isle of Wight `Retro` Classic Breaks -
A total classical experience - hire one of our classic cars and stay in an authentic 1960`s american trailer.A full photo gallery of the cars and vans will follow shortly - but please see www.vintagevacations.co.uk for full details of these fantastic trailers.
All of our vehicles come equipped with their own picnic hamper and waterproof rug as standard.Some of our hampers are authentic items from the 1960`s and 70's, supplied with quality flasks and crockery to perfectly match the character of the cars.
We have teamed up with `The Wight Hamper Company ` and local artist Becky Samuelson to provide a delicious selection of local produce for you to enjoy.Supplied in a unique hand painted canvas bag for you to take away with you, a perfect lunch option for your classic experience. We can offer free collection and delivery to anywhere on the Island. If you are a local resident or a visitor we can meet you at a suitable location and can even provide a `meet and greet` service at any of the ferry ports.
At the start of your hire period we will take a photograph of you with your chosen vehicle. When the vehicle is returned, we will provide you with a photographic record, free of charge, of you with your vehicle as well as the details of the vehicle as a keepsake of your classic experience.
You will be personally familarised with the details your chosen vehicle. Classic vehicles are unlike modern cars to drive. Each has its own character, and needs to be driven accordingly. We want to make sure you get the most of your driving experience an will ensure you are comfortable with the vehicle at the start of the day.
All of our vehicles are equipped with maps and information guides to help you navigate your way around the Island. If staying on the Island,we can provide a route finder to ensure you can get to your accommodation quickly and easily. We will endeavor to make sure you have details of any roadworks or road closures that may spoil your experience.
Lesley has been living on the Isle of Wight for a number of years now and has experienced most of the restaurants and pubs,as well some of the hotels. Please feel free to call her for details of any particular gastronomic preference you may have.
If you wish to purchase a `hire day` as a present we can offer a gift voucher service. We will include the details of the car, with photographs so the recepient will be fully aware of the treat awaiting them. If you wish to book a day`s hire as a surprise present please call Lesley - we can be very secretive when required!
Hotel Delivery and Collection -
If on a special short break, we can offer you the luxury of being collected, and driven to your hotel in our stunning Mark II Jag with a driver. Leave the car at home, and arrive in style ! Prices start from £75.00 for a return journey anywhere on the Island.
We can provide the Mark II Jaguar with a driver for school proms. Arrive in classic style,and the Jag can seat 4 plus the driver.Prices start from £75.00 for the evening depending on location.Call or email Lesley for full details.
